Like excited siblings, members of GD United, a group of first generation Honda Jazz owners, gathered together to welcome the latest addition to the Honda Jazz Family--the 2008 Honda Jazz. At exactly 3pm, on August 23, 2008, 24 Honda Jazz cars were parked in front of the Marina restaurant across the World Trade Center. Jazz owners excitedly prepared for the big motorcade. And as soon as all 24 cars were ready, the lead car rolled out of the parking lot. Followed closely by 23 other Honda Jazz cars driving in one long line along Macapagal Boulevard. Complete with balloons waving excitedly in the air.
Having created hype and excitement for the All-New Honda Jazz, the motorcade group headed back to Marina to celebrate with an early dinner. After which, the happy group of GD United trooped to the 2nd Philippine International Motorshow, where they oohhed and ahhed over the All-New Honda Jazz. Compared to other cars in this category, where compact usually meant cramped, GD United members were happy to note that the All-New Honda Jazz still offered owners maximized space without sacrificing comfort with its ULTRA seats (allowing you to configure the seats according to your cargo requirements). Plus as a first in its class, the Honda Jazz 1.3-liter variant is now equipped with 5-speed automatic transmission--a feature previously available only on expensive vehicles.
As a result of the group's enthusiastic welcome for the All-New Honda Jazz, that night the crowd at the Honda booth swelled to the hundreds. Particularly at the Honda Jazz display--where the crowd was so thick, that getting near the car was no easy feat. People actually queued to see and sit in the All-New Honda Jazz, and once seated they were reluctant to leave the car. But then again what would you expect? Aside from the impressive interiors that made you want to touch and press every single button, the inside of the Jazz was just so comfortable you could stay in there for hours. And they would've too if not for the long, long line of people waiting for their turn. All in all, it was a successful motorcade and a very warm welcome for the All-New Honda Jazz.
